HEY, I'M JESS
The woman behind Boudoir With Jess.
I'm Jess, a boudoir photographer, studio owner, self-portrait enthusiast and the person you'll be trusting with your underwear. 😂
I created Boudoir With Jess because I wanted boudoir to feel different. Less intimidating, less about looking like a model and much more about having a few hours where you can relax, have a laugh and just be yourself.

I take self-portraits too.
I try poses, move my body and figure out what feels natural, what feels awkward and what photographs beautifully without changing the shape of my body.
So when I'm directing you, I'm not just throwing poses at you and hoping they work. I've tried them myself.
I know what it's like to stand in front of a camera in your underwear thinking, “What the hell am I supposed to do with my hands?” 😂
And if you can see me in mine, you can definitely trust me with yours. 😉

WHAT I WANT YOU TO FEEL
I don't need you to leave the studio thinking you've suddenly become a completely different person.
I just want you to feel a little more comfortable in your own skin.
A little more confident.
A little less worried about what everyone else thinks.
And maybe standing a tiny bit taller.
I want you to look at your photographs and see you.
Not a heavily edited version of you. Not a body that's been reshaped into something it isn't.
Your freckles, scars, stretch marks, cellulite, wrinkles, curves and all the little things that make you you stay.
Because I don't think you need fixing.
I think you need to see yourself through kinder eyes.
WELCOME TO STUDIO NO.2
I built this studio around everything I've learned from photographing hundreds of women.
I wanted somewhere that felt warm, private and completely un-intimidating the second you walk through the door.
It's tucked inside an old brewery in Great Baddow, Chelmsford, with original character, huge windows, darker corners, soft textures and plenty of different spaces to create completely different looks.
It's not a white box studio.
It's not clinical.
And it's definitely not somewhere you're expected to walk in knowing what you're doing.
It's somewhere to get comfortable, have a laugh and make the experience feel like yours.
